Store Eyes mission is to revolutionize the current retail merchandising compliance monitoring capabilities. The current compliance monitoring services are cost prohibitive providing only a “one moment in time” view of merchandising conditions, in a small sample of the retail universe.
Store Eyes patent pending process utilizes the existing proven technology of digital cameras, scanner technology, stitching technology, data storage capability, and business intelligence alert reporting capability, to provide a virtual real-time view of individual retail store conditions.
The Store Eyes proprietary “Mobile Capture Unit” (MCU) will enable a census level view of participating retail entities merchandising conditions multiple times per week. Store Eyes will provide relatively real-time reporting capability of individual store execution regarding display support, shelf conditions, and merchandising point of sale execution. This reporting capability will have profile capability by individual user with date and time stamp of the retail execution being viewed or analyzed.
Store Eyes will provide its clients with an accurate/timely metric defined as share of display. Store Eyes will capture weekly all displays in a specific category, both manufacturer client and competitor, by store rolled-up to the total retailer level. This will provide both the retailer and manufacturer intelligence regarding merchandising execution at store level and its subsequent impact on consumer purchases. Store Eyes will provide “One View of the Truth” that should help foster improved collaborative initiatives regarding maximizing future promotional expenditures.
Store Eyes will also maximize the deployment of retail personal. Imagine knowing on a Monday morning that a 100 store chain with a major promotion in a specific category had displays up in only 35 stores. A report would be on the appropriate individuals alert reporting system prioritizing the 65 stores that did not execute display support. No more “Needle in the Haystack” retail surveillance needed to find a potential display opportunity. Imagine knowing exactly what plan-o-grams by store are not set to authorized spec and having the capability to deploy personnel in prioritized order to address and correct. This intelligence capability will deliver a tangible R.O.I. to both retailer and manufacturer.
The participating retailer will have the ability to utilize the Store Eyes “Aisle Task Manager” (ATM). The Store Eyes ATM will enable retailers to execute and report back to corporate on specific weekly merchandising initiatives as well as develop a daily task list of merchandising initiatives that need to be addressed by specific category/aisle. These tasks will be electronically fed to specific PDA’s and in-store retail personnel will be charged with completing these tasks and electronically signing off on the PDA when completed. The ATM coupled with the intelligence provided by the Mobile capture unit regarding display and shelf conditions by store will result in significant increased selling and profit opportunities.
