Wayne Spencer, President
Wayne Spencer brings to Store Eyes™ 30 years of Consumer Packaged Goods
management experience to this business opportunity. Mr. Spencer has diverse
CPG senior sales/trade marketing management experience spending 10 years in
the consumer manufacturers sector with P&G, Johnson & Johnson, American
Cyanamid and Georgia Pacific, 10 years as a Vice President at the largest food
broker in New York, ABD Sales Inc., and 10 years in the trade promotion
marketing consulting sector with SPAR, Relationship Marketing Group, and the
Synectics Group.
Mr. Spencer is currently the Vice President of Business Development at the
Synectics Group, a leading provider of trade promotion management software to
the CPG industry. Prior to this Mr. Spencer founded the Relationship Marketing
Group, a direct marketing company tied to the retailer frequent shopper loyalty
programs. Mr. Spencer served as EVP at RMG responsible for the sales and
marketing efforts.
Mr. Spencer began his consumer products career in sales with Procter & Gamble
was the Director of Trade Promotion for the Shulton Division of American
Cyanamid and was the National Sales manager of the Consumer Paper Products
Division of Georgia Pacific.
In addition to this experience, Mr. Spencer has 10 years of consulting experience
in the trade promotion management area, 5 years at SPAR as Vice President
Consulting Services and 5 years as SVP, Business Development at the
Synectics Group.
Mr. Spencer received his B.S. in Marketing from the University of Rhode Island.
Peter L. Pastor, COO/CFO
Peter Pastor brings to Store Eyes™ over 25 years of business leadership specifically tailored to this business opportunity. Having spent 10 years at Kraft General Foods in finance, marketing and sales, Mr. Pastor has a deep understanding of the manufacturers’ needs for Store Eyes™. As a veteran of three start-up ventures, Mr. Pastor has raised capital, handled investor relations and managed operations to grow a company from a business concept to a multimillion dollar enterprise.
At his second start-up venture, Relationship Marketing Group, Inc (RMG), Mr. Pastor served as chief operating officer and chief financial officer. RMG was a direct marketing company tied to retailer frequent shopper programs. As a founder of the company, Mr. Pastor developed the company’s business plan and helped raise over $5 million in initial seed and expansion capital. Mr. Pastor was responsible for the IT resources that built an effective interface to retailer data systems both to retrieve purchase transaction history and transmit promotion offers to the retailers’ point of sale terminals. RMG data processing systems retrieved, manipulated and transmitted massive amounts of retailer transaction data. He managed all phases of the company’s operations during its market introduction and expansion until Valassis Communications, Inc. purchased a controlling interest in the company.
Prior to RMG, Mr. Pastor spent 15 years of leadership in financial and brand marketing positions within the packaged food industry at Greenfield Healthy Foods and Kraft General Foods. As President of Greenfield Healthy Foods, Mr. Pastor was responsible for building this start-up company into a multi-million dollar business and negotiating the sale of Greenfield to the Campbell Soup Company.
Most recently, Mr. Pastor was CFO at TBA Global, an experiential marketing agency, where he was responsible for financial management and information services.
Mr. Pastor began his career at KPMG where he obtained his CPA license. He received his B.S. in Business Administration from Cornell University with distinction.
Alex Ring, Chief Technology Officer
Since 1979, Alex Ring has provided consulting services to more than 50 major
packaged goods manufacturers in over 100 product categories in the areas of
trade promotion analysis, tracking, budgeting, planning, and forecasting. In 1985,
Mr. Ring founded Synectics Group Inc. and immediately put his trade promotion
experience to work, helping manufacturers and brokers to plan, communicate,
track, budget, request payment, resolve deductions, and evaluate trade
promotions. He soon realized that manufacturers needed an automated system,
and Account Review™ was conceived and developed as one of the first software
tools for trade promotion management. Having evolved into a complex tool that
manages every aspect of the trade promotion life cycle, Account Review™ now
has thousands of users all across the United States.
Mr. Ring began his career in trade promotion management at SPAR. He has also
been a speaker at conferences sponsored by the Chain Drug Marketing
Association, the Food Marketing Institute, the Institute for International Research,
the Institute of Grocery Distribution, and the Snack Food Association. Mr. Ring
received his undergraduate degree in Marketing from Lehigh University and his
MBA from Fordham University.
George Jamiel, EVP Manufacturer Sales & Service
George brings over 25 years of senior sales, trade promotion, and marketing management experience to Store Eyes. Beginning his career with Kraft General Foods, George’s experience with major CPG manufacturers include Borden, Inc., International Home Foods, and The Quaker Oats Anderson-Clayton Division. Some of the positions George held with these CPG manufacturers include SVP Sales, VP Business Development, Director of Sales Planning, and Senior Brand Manager. Combined with his background in CPG start-up companies Heritage Brands (EVP Sales & Marketing) and Aurora Foods (SVP Sales); George’s experience is uniquely suited to the success of Store Eyes.
George earned both his MBA and Bachelor’s degrees in Marketing from the University of Florida and was awarded Outstanding Two Year Scholar for maintaining a 4.0 GPA while earning all undergraduate and graduate marketing electives at the PhD level focused on Consumer Behavior. As assistant to the President of The Association for Consumer Research, George’s graduate work included research on advertising and consumer promotion for the FTC.
Don Campbell, EVP Sales & Marketing
Don Campbell has
spent time working for both a major retailer and major consumer packaged goods
company. Over his 20 plus years of experience he has a unique appreciation for
the issues that both these groups face in managing retail execution. At both
Kroger and Nestle Purina, Mr. Campbell was responsible for developing
merchandising systems and best practices for retail execution. He is intimately
familiar with the benefits that Store Eyes™ can bring to both audiences.
Mr. Campbell began his career at Kroger in store management. He quickly saw
the value of technology being one of the first to use scan data to reduce inventory
and create display plans. Senior management quickly recognized Mr. Campbell
as an early adopter and implementer of merchandising technologies and gave him
responsibility for heading up the business teams on the initial rollout of space
management as well as category management.
At Nestle Purina, Mr. Campbell served as the Director of Business development,
where he managed trade funding and was exposed to business development
models for club, chain drug and dollar stores. He also was a Director of Sales,
running the National Safeway team for Nestle Purina.
In recent years, Mr. Campbell has developed successful business consultancy
providing manufacturers and top grocery retailers with counsel on everything from
aisle layouts, department designs, category management to pricing strategies.
Craig Hamilton, EVP Retail Services
Craig Hamilton has more than 35 years combined experience in the grocery and
CPG industry in senior level sales, account management, retail operations, and
marketing. Mr. Hamilton has 15 years of store operations management
experience with Kroger, the nation’s largest food retailer. Years of hands-on store
operations experience led to his move into Merchandising Systems management
where he served as liaison between the merchandising departments and IT on the
development and implementation of all new technology projects, including
customer loyalty program, category management, electronic planograms and
computer assisted ordering.
Mr. Hamilton was then recruited by Efficient Market Services (ems), a start-up
company that became a leader in store level demand data analytics used at the
top 5 Retail chains in over 3,500 supermarket locations across North America. Mr.
Hamilton established and maintained result driven relationships and successfully
negotiated contracts with key retail accounts including: Kroger, Ahold, Bruno’s and
several key indirect chain accounts. As Senior Vice President, Retail Services,
Craig developed new sales opportunities and successfully directed strategy of
using store level execution solutions, creating win-win solutions for both the
retailer and the manufacturer.
Patrick Scardaccione, SVP Operations
Pat brings over 25 years of operations management experience to Store Eyes™.
After receiving his MBA in Business Management at St John’s, Pat began a long
successful career with Dun & Bradstreet. Starting as a financial analyst, he moved
into operations where he held positions of increasing responsibility. Before leaving
D&B to join Dendrite International, Inc., Pat was Director of Business System
Fulfillment where he oversaw the operations, maintenance and upgrading of order
fulfillment technology. At Dendrite, Pat is currently a senior executive responsible
for project management on the development of a new suite of software services
for manufacturers that integrates CRM and trade promotion management
solutions.
During Pat’s career he has managed large business implementations and
coordinated outside service providers as part of these implementations. This
experience is particularly important as Store Eyes™ rapid growth will be
supported by an outsourced supplier model.
Doug Hoogervorst, SVP Information Technology
Doug Hoogervorst is President and CEO of Business Impact, Inc., a successful
business intelligence software and consulting business he founded. Business
Impact provides business intelligence software solutions to businesses in retail,
manufacturing, health care, wineries, life sciences and wholesale. These solutions
include turn-key data warehouses, OLAP cubes, reports, views and
dashboard/scorecards. He works easily with C-level executives and IT
programmers and is a public speaker at various MBA programs and conferences
throughout the East Coast about leveraging systems for business benefit,
entrepreneurism and proactive leadership. His business experience is deep in
retail, manufacturing, healthcare and financial services, having worked in
marketing, sales, distribution, and IT. He’s led dozens of software development
projects, mainly in business intelligence and CRM. Doug has an MBA from the
Babcock Graduate School of Management at Wake Forest (with distinction) and is
a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer ( MCSE).
